Dementia Gardens

Our Living Garden provides colour, stimulating aromas, accessibility, fun, interaction and activity.

Gardens can be a place for familiar activities and provide fresh air and gentle exercise, which can help prevent a person living with Dementia from becoming distressed or restless.

Our Living Garden provides colour, stimulating aromas, accessibility, fun, interaction and activity. Designed specifically for people who live with dementia; the Living Garden offers stimulating safe walkways, contains hidden gems of delight and points of interest around each corner. Strategically placed seating areas along with plants and fragrances that stimulate the senses, allows people to relax, discuss and enjoy this delightful environment.

Whether you require help to design your garden or would like a full garden over-haul, we work closely with landscape gardeners to ensure the finished product is exactly as you imagined. Every tiny detail is thought about; for example we use recycled plastic ‘wood’ which looks exactly like the real thing, to ensure your planters, garden furniture and fences withstand to the elements and last for years to come with virtually no maintenance.

We will also provide you with our own unique, detailed maintenance plan so you can keep your garden looking in great condition with minimum effort. Our sensory gardens provide a journey that will change throughout the seasons, giving varied experiences time after time.

“Gardening improves both your mental and physical health by keeping you active, helping people living with dementia to relax. The therapeutic benefits of gardening, visiting garden centres and being outdoors are unrivalled.”
